They are immediately shredded (we don't read them) for the sake of ensuring fairness across interviewees - we don't want specific details of the interview being documented and disseminated. WebNotes are a valuable tool and you should use them to your advantage. I keep key points about the company and position, any questions I want answered, and then anything that caught my interest in the tour/interview that I want to follow up on. As others have said, keep eye contact, don't keep your nose in your notes.
