WebCitizensNYC awards micro-grants up to $3,000 to community building projects carried out by resident-led groups to address issues they identify as important to them. Today, our grantmaking focuses on supporting projects that bring residents together to improve neighborhood life, strengthen local leadership, and scale community partnerships. WebOrganizations are eligible to receive funding from the First Citizens’ Charitable Foundation only once per calendar year. Contribution Awards typically range from $1,000-$5,000 in effort to support as many organizations throughout our footprint as possible. A larger donation may be made for extraordinary circumstances.
